Raymond's Kountry Kitchen is a family-owned business born from a love of cooking and a desire to bring people together. Inspired by our late father, Raymond Washington Sr., a man known for his dedication to family and his love for good food, we strive to create soul food that nourishes the body and soul.
Our Story
The idea for Raymond's Kountry Kitchen emerged during a challenging time. When the pandemic struck, and my husband, Cortez Crook, lost his job, we turned to a familiar source of comfort – cooking. Having grown up watching my mom cook for our family, and with my own passion for creating delicious meals, we decided to share our culinary skills with our community. We started by offering home-cooked dinners, and to our delight, our soul food was a hit! Following the loss of our beloved father, Raymond Sr., we took a break to grieve. His absence deeply impacted us, but his legacy of love and family continues to inspire us. We are now back, fueled by the desire to honor his memory and share the food that brought so much joy to our family.
